Introducing the Woolmark+ Australian Wool Insetting Program
This new initiative will develop and trial the foundation of an Australia-wide wool insetting market, connecting Australian woolgrowers with global fashion and textile brands looking to meet their Scope 3 emissions targets, to jointly deliver on-farm emissions reductions and removals projects.
The program will break down significant barriers woolgrowers face when seeking to reduce emissions, including the lack of guidance on best practices, upfront capital, and market engagement, paving the way for impactful emissions reductions across the wool value chain.
The Woolmark+ Australian Wool Insetting Program is supported by the Australian Government through funding from the Climate-Smart Agriculture Program under the Natural Heritage Trust.
